Day Trips

Canyon Lake is located in the Central Region of Texas most notably referred to as ‘The Texas Hill Country’. It’s beautiful landscape is hosted by crystal blue waters of the rivers and lakes which outline the area. Rolling hills add interest to the topography. The beauty of the region has attracted many small day destination spots only minutes from Canyon Lake. These are a few of our favorites… all within a 60 minute drive or less from any given property… Enjoy Your Adventure!

New Braunfels

Several times a year, the streets near the historic downtown square are closed for festivals, parades, street fairs, and other community activities. The city of New Braunfels was built on two traditions: a strong work ethic and good times, known in German as Gemutlichkeit. Tourists and residents alike will find an abundance of activities, no matter what time of year they plan a visit to New Braunfels from water parks, tubing, to old NB full of shopping and fine dining. It`s a great little town!

San Marcos

Whether you`re planning that family summer vacation, your next romantic getaway, a girls` shopping marathon, or a professional conference with all the bells and whistles, San Marcos always has something to celebrate. Conveniently located in Central Texas between Austin and San Antonio, San Marcos truly is the center of everything. So no matter where you are, you won`t have far to go.

Gruene

Gruene itself has been added to the National Register of Historic Places. It has been recognized by the Texas travel industry as a premiere attraction for visitors, which is no surprise to its merchants and guests. With the remarkable growth of this once sleepy little town, the main focus of Gruene is, and continues to be, bona fide Texas. Everything from the wares they sell to the music they play speaks to its guests with an experience that has the signature seal of the Lone Star State.
